Maker Campus Graphics
Brief:
Maker Campus is a campus wide collaboration at Belhaven University which aims to cultivate a maker movement on campus. The collaboration generally does projects which normally involve fabrication. I was tasked by University Relations to create a banner, rack card, and Tablecloth to help promote the movement. These (especially the rack card) required visuals that related to Maker Campus as well as the most common machines we use, 3D printers.

Process:
I first separated the logo into two separate parts using Adobe Illustrator. I then photographed images from one of Belhaven's maker labs and by using Photoshop deleted the background. I used these assets for all the maker campus projects.

For the Banner I arranged the images and assets into a front and back panel. I split the front panel into two with the logo and added graphics to the back. I adapted some copy from a Maker Campus newsletter.

The tablecloth was simply a gradient with the logo placed over it. They also recommended a white tablecloth as an option.

Challenges:
The banner required a few major revisions due to opacity issues.

Outcome:
The Designs were approved by the University and are prepared for printing. This project taught me how to
